We look forward to meeting you!

What to Expect

We’re so glad you’re considering visiting Church in Toronto! Here’s a little bit more about us and what a typical church service looks like:

Before the service:

Our Sunday services start at 10AM. We are about a 5-minute walk from the the Bessarion subway station on the Sheppard Line 4. If you’re arriving by car, we also have parking behind and beneath the church building. Dress is casual, and the people are friendly!

You’re welcome to arrive anytime after 9:15 AM, and you’ll be met by some greeters at the door. Grab a seat in our sanctuary until our service begins with worship at 10:00AM.

We typically have 3-4 contemporary worship songs, followed by teaching from the Bible. We monthly have either communion and/or water immersion baptisms at the end of the service. Our services are typically 1 hour long.

Directly after the service, our cafe is open! Cafe is free, and if you’re new, please jump in the “Express Lane” where you can jump to the start of the line. Our cafe offers fresh coffee, tea, and snacks, and a place to chat with and get to know people.

Do you have a children’s program?

We have small groups for babies through grade 5 where they meet together to worship, pray, learn and play. For more information, visit our Children’s Ministry page.

Sunday worship service

Quick Answers

For quick questions!

What time does the service start?

Worship starts at 10:00 am, followed by our message and runs for roughly one hour.

What should I wear?

We’re casual – don’t sweat it! It’s more important that you’re here to worship with us than wearing something specific.

Where should I park?

We have parking behind the church, as well as under the church building. Arriving earlier ensures you get the one you prefer most!

Do you have a children's program during service?

Yes! Our CIT Kids program happens simultaneously with our service upstairs. We recommend coming early to check the kids in for the first time and get them settled before church starts upstairs. Check in is at the top of the stairs leading to the basement, and our friendly volunteers can help your kids find their place.

Can my kids stay with me during the service?

Got a shy one? We get it. Children can absolutely stay with you during the service. We ask that if you need to enter and exit mid-service, you do so through the back doors.

How can I get connected or meet people?

We can confidently assure you that you will meet more people on your first visit than you can remember their names! We have a very friendly congregation – don’t be afraid to reach out to connect. You can also approach our Connect team member next to the Express Lane at the Cafe after service to chat more about how to get to know more people!

Is there another church meeting in the building?

Yes. We're glad to host The Spirit of Truth Church, a Farsi-speaking congregation, on Sunday afternoons (12:30–3:00 PM) and Wednesday evenings. Church in Toronto's Sunday service is at 10:00 AM.
