Ministries at CIT
Prayer Ministry
At CIT, we believe that prayer is what fuels all our ministries, both as a corporate body and as individuals. There are many ways to connect with the prayer ministry at CIT. We have a weekly prayer meeting from 12-1pm on Wednesdays. Our prayer ministry team is also available every Sunday after service to pray for and with anyone that needs to be held up in prayer. You can always find new ways to engage in prayer in our dedicated prayer room!
CIT Kids
At CIT, children are an integral part of our church family. CITKids seeks to partner with families to come alongside children to help them grow an authentic personal faith. We want every child to know that they are known and loved by God, to know that they belong, to discover who Jesus is, and to learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Each Sunday, children from babies through Grade 5 are welcomed into a fun, safe, and caring environment led by trained volunteers. Our morning includes large group singing and small group sessions with age-appropriate Bible stories, conversations, play, and prayer.
You will see many youth volunteers at CITKids, as we encourage mentorship both through our Leader-in-Training program and through pairing youth with trained and experienced adult leaders.
When you arrive on Sunday, look for the CITKids banner in the front lobby, where our team will welcome your family, help you check in, and direct you to your child’s group. CITKids begins each Sunday at 10:00 a.m., with check-in open from 9:45 a.m. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

CIT Youth
CIT Youth engages with grade 6 through grade 12 students. The youth and their adult leaders meet every Saturday night at 6:30pm, starting with sharing a meal. From 7:30–9:00pm we spend time singing, followed by an interactive Bible lesson and our time always ends with a snack.
Our aim in our Youth ministry is to introduce youth to Jesus, to build up their foundation in Bible knowledge, and to facilitate them encountering Jesus from week-to-week. All youth, regardless of background are welcome!
CIT Young Adults (CYA)
CYA is a gathering for young adults aged 18-30 years old. We meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the week from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Our hope is to grow together in faith through Bible study, prayer, worship, and fellowship. We welcome anyone that wants to be challenged in their faith, seeking a community of people in the same life stage.
Women’s Ministry
CIT Sisterhood is a blessed space where women from all walks of life connect and encourage one another in their journey with Jesus. Our hope is that women among us experience a deep sense of God’s love as we support each other. In our small group gatherings, we enjoy a time of catching up over coffee & snacks, followed by prayer and a deep dive into Bible study!
Bible studies take place every other Saturday 1:00-2:30, (skipping holiday weekends), at CIT (Church in Toronto), 671 Sheppard Ave. E,North York,ON M2K 1B6. Parking at back, meeting in front lobby. We’d love to see you there! For more information, please contact us at: shirleygoodnessandmercy@gmail.com
Small Groups
The heartbeat of CIT is Small Groups, the purpose of which is to discover a life of ongoing discipleship in an intimate setting of not more than 15 people. People meet not just to have Bible Study, but to become a true family of brothers and sisters that share life. No matter what your interests or stage of life, there’s a Small Group that’s a great fit for you.
Alpha
The Alpha Course is a 12-week program designed to reach out to those who are curious about the Christian faith. An important part of CIT’s yearly rhythm, the Alpha Course is a way that we live out the Great Commission – to make more disciples. There are many opportunities to participate as a guest or volunteer as a leader/helper at CIT’s Alpha ministry.
Compassion Ministry
The Compassion Ministry is committed to caring for people in real and tangible ways. It’s about more than meeting needs; it’s about showing our community the love and character of Jesus. We walk alongside people, seeking to understand and respond to their physical, social, spiritual, and relational needs. Through genuine relationships built on friendship, dignity, and mutual respect, we seek to offer care, connection, and hope to those around us.
