Psalm 84: Frequently this psalm is interpreted as God’s house being the church. However, in this psalm is sandwiched in a section of psalms where the temple and Jerusalem is destroyed. So, God’s house, could be interpreted as the church (out of context) may apply more to God’s presence. We may be present in church on Sunday but are we “crying out for the living God.”. Happy and blessed are the people whose strength is in God. God is the sun and shield. Blessed is the person who trusts in God. A heart seeking God is what counts.
