Our Mission

To lead people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.

Our Pillars

The Bible

People need the Bible to transform their lives, not merely inform them

Evangelism

People need Jesus, and we need to introduce them to Him

Discipleship

People need to become real followers of Jesus and need to be changed by Him

Community

People are made for community. It’s the place where true growth happens

What We Believe

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

– Romans 10:17

 The Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God, and is the final authority in faith and life.

 God

We believe in one, true and living God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are co-equal. God the Father Almighty is the Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

 Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who is our Lord. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary to be a sinless man; in Him perfect humanity and deity are found in one person. He is the one mediator between God and mankind. He was crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind. He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and was made Lord. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

 Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Divine Person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. In Him all believers were baptized into the Body of Christ. He indwells them, transforms their lives and continues to guide, shepherd, teach, and comfort them.

 Salvation

We believe that salvation depends solely on the finished work of Jesus Christ, who accomplished redemption once and for all on the cross at Calvary as the vicarious sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. All those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and His work, believing that God has raised Him from the dead, and confess Him as their Lord, shall be saved forever and have eternal life. This salvation is the gift of God’s grace and is not gained by human works.

 Mankind

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God, but due to Adam’s sin, all mankind inherited a sinful nature. All mankind has sinned and come short of the glory of God, becoming spiritually dead and alienated from Him. Therefore each human being needs to repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ.

Ministries

 Family & Kids

Church In Toronto is committed to engaging the whole family. We offer a full kids program during both services. Kids are taught age appropriately about God and all that He has done for us. This happens just steps away from the rest of the family, who come to know God through a time of worship in song, and through hearing God’s word spoken.

 Students

At Church In Toronto we place a high priority on our next generation. We recognize the many challenging transitions that teens and young adults encounter. We work really hard at making this process of change as smooth as possible in a loving and safe environment. Our goal is for each student to know God, to experience God and to build significant relationships in community.

 Women

Sisterhood speaks of care and connectedness. And that is what Church In Toronto is endeavouring to develop among the women at our church. Whether it is a small group of older and younger women gathering for tea, or it is a larger group gathering to be inspired and challenged by a female ministry leader, our hope is for the women among us to experience a deep sense of togetherness and love.

Community Groups

Church In Toronto believes that church is done best in community. While Sunday services cover this to some degree, we recognize the limitations of a larger gathering. So, we encourage all of our members to participate with others in home-based groups. It’s there that questions can be safely asked, supporting prayer can happen, and substantial growth in Christ can occur.

 Outreach

At Church In Toronto we strive to be a meaningful community presence. On the one hand, we partner with established compassion ministries that reach the needy of our city. On the other hand, our doors are open to support artists in our immediate neighbourhood.
