Deliverance and distinction. The plagues purpose was to show Israel and the Egyptians who God was. They were also to execute judgment on the gods of Egypt. We will explore what things have power and influence over us and are keeping us captive. God also made a distinction between Israel and Egypt by keeping the last six plagues from touching the Israelites. How are we different from those around us? We should be different because we have God. 2 Cor. 2:14-16 says we have the scent, the aroma of God!
